This has got to be the most stupid/stressful idea in the history of stupid/stressful ideas.
The logbook arrived today,the day after the tax ran out.Spent most of the night awake,wondering if the car was getting clamped for having no tax after all Darryl's car did a few years back.
Monsoon rain outside and we're still in Wales.Phil convinced the house will be washed down the river while we're away.There just seems to be no end of little things to tie up.Missing the dog and we haven't even got on the plane yet.
So....the car has now been sold.No dog,no car,no job,no food in the cupboards so chippy tea tonight.What was once a good idea,is now a bloody stupid idea. Hopefully,it will become a good idea again when we get there.( impermanence has got some benefits) Bags packed,money tucked down knickers.Not much else to do now but wait,wait and wait.The days are just dragging by,giving me plenty of time to THINK!!!
Thought I'd empty the cupboards and last few things in the fridge yesterday,while Phil spent the day getting drunk with his son.After all,I didn't want to waste any food by haveing to throw it out.In the cupboards and fridge,I found flour,cocoa,sugar,eggs and some butter so I made a chocolate cake.So....now the cupboards and fridge are empty but I have this bloody chocolate cake that HAS to be eaten before Sunday.What with the fish and chips tonight and the chocolate cake sat there,I'll be a stone heavier before I get on that plane.
